Inukshuk Kit

Description

This awesome kit includes the following items:

• 2.5″ Soapstone Inukshuk cut out ready to carve – Colors will vary
• Sanding Paper – 60 to shape the Inukshuk, 150 and 400 Grit to sand
• Mineral Oil and Beeswax to finish off

Be creative and have fun! Do your own style!! There is no right or wrong in creating art

    Carving an Inukshuk:

       Materials Included in Kit:

• Pre-cut soapstone or carving stone

• Sandpaper (60, 150, 400 grits)

• Bowl of water

• Mixture of mineral oil and beeswax

        Instructions:

1. Begin Carving:

   • Start with the 60 grit sandpaper to shape your inukshuk. Shape the lines by folding the sand paper in half and remove excess material

2. Refine Details:

   • Progress to the 150 grit sandpaper for a smoother finish.

3. Polish the Finish:

   • Finish with the 400 grit sandpaper for a polished look.

4. Keep it Wet:

   • Throughout the entire carving process, keep the stone wet by dipping it in the water bowl. This controls dust and ensures a smooth finish.

5. Apply Mineral Oil and Beeswax:

   • After completing the carving, apply the provided mixture of mineral oil and beeswax. Ensure even coverage.

6. Enjoy Your Creation:

   • Admire your finished inukshuk! Display proudly or share as a thoughtful gift.
